Ohaneze vows to defend Ekweremadu

Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Pan-Igbo socio-social gathering, said it would oppose any endeavor to ruin Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu.

Mr. Ekweremadu faces the possibilities of losing some of his advantages following legitimate moves by the government. The administration blames him for owning neighborhood and remote resources he didn’t declare by law to the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The President-General of Ohaneze, Nnia Nwodo, in an announcement on Thursday in Enugu, said it was absurd for the national government to do an outlandish investigation into Mr. Ekweremadu’s life.

He said that the affirmation that Mr. Ekweremadu, the most elevated Igbo lawmaker in the nation, stole open assets was improper.

Mr. Nwodo expressed that requesting that the representative safeguard himself rather than his informers demonstrating how he falsely advanced himself, added up to flipping around the law.

He said Mr. Ekweremadu is a respected Igbo child and had pulled in a great deal of advancement to his territory with no past allegation of theft.

The president-general queried the system of investigation where one was tried for simply belonging to a political party “and is exonerated of an offense he committed for belonging to a political party or being in government.”
