Hajia Aisha, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, joined other prominent Nigerians on Sunday, July 15, in celebration of the electoral victory of former minister, Kayode Fayemi, in the Ekiti gubernatorial poll held on Saturday, July 14.
Aisha Buhari also congratulated the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the victory of the party. In a single tweet, the wife of the president said: “Congratulations to All members of APC, His Excellency the governor-elect of Ekiti state, D Kayode Fayemi, and the people of Ekiti state.”
“With the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just-concluded Ekiti governorship election, Nigeria people have spoken, and they have spoken loudly, about their perception of the APC-led Buhari administration.
“The election was more than one state’s gubernatorial poll. It was a referendum on the performance of the Buhari Administration. And Nigerians have given their verdict!” He said.
