I will be discussing on the spate of major Nigerian roads to give insight into how our roads have been left UN-managed for decades and the most unfortunate things is that billions of Naira are been budgeted for these roads year-in-year-out.<\/p>\n

I traveled from Port Harcourt to Lagos, a distance of about 300km which should have been a driving distance of  like 6hrs but we ended up using more than 10 hours because most part of the roads are not motorable.<\/p>\n

There are so many parts of the roads that security cannot guaranteed because of of the presence of hoodlums, touts, armed rubbers. These bad guys are taking the advantage of the bad spots where it is compulsory for motorists to extremely slow down and in some cases the bus will be temporarily stopped for long time.<\/p>\n

The motorists are really suffering on our roads, damages are done to the cars,man hours are lost, lives are lost on daily basis. I am also using this platform to appeal to our government and minister of works to help us in looking at the performance of the contractors so that they can keep working as some of them have been mobilized.<\/p>\n
